The Meeting Room
When you step into the Meeting House, you enter a space that has witnessed silent attention to the Spirit in the manner of Quakers since 1675. Many visitors find that they make an instinctive response to this, as their need for inner peace finds a natural home. There is no religious imagery, or preaching, or texts to demand your attention, just peace and simplicity embodied in the old oak, the white walls and the light coming in from the garden and the fells beyond.
