Meeting for Worship

Meeting for Worship takes place at Brigflatts every Sunday at 10:30. Friends come not only from the near-by town of Sedbergh but also  from an area well beyond. After Meeting there is always tea, coffee and biscuits and a chance to catch up with news, discuss the business of the Meeting or plan an event.

There is a welcome for everyone of all denominations and beliefs (or none).

Children and Young People’s Meeting

Unfortunately there is currently no regular Children's Meeting at Brigflatts.
If you would like to bring children to Meeting, please let the Warden know in advance and we will try to make suitable arrangements.

Social events

Social events by the Meeting have included:

•    A walk and picnic in Smardale.
•    Meeting-for-Worship-for-Breakfast, organised by the Young People’s Meeting.
•    A talk at Brigflatts from members of the Hindu faith and a follow-up visit to the Hindu Temple in Preston.
•    An annual 'Quaker Jolly' - an event of fun and games for all ages who come to Meeting.
